General Manager of Pharmacy Operations

Our client a well-known South Florida Specialty Pharmacy group seeks a General Manager of Pharmacy Operations to run all systems, process’s, production for this facility.

Qualifications: 

BS/BA required prefer Business/Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or may consider equivalent experience. At least five (5) years demonstrated organizational leadership and operations experience in pharmacy, pharmaceutical or healthcare field with direct supervision responsibilities of a minimum of three (3) employees. Knowledge of the healthcare industry including the regulatory environment. Experience with accreditation processes and accreditation bodies (URAC, ACHC, JCAHO, AAHC, NCQA). Operational experience with a focus on operational excellence. Experience managing customer relationships, both related to business development and retention. Financial and business acumen and P&L experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Sense of urgency and ability to effectively prioritize. Ability to manage change and operate within ambiguity.  Able to lead, take charge, and give direction. A history of conducting all transactions with customers and employees at the highest level of ethics.

 Key Responsibilities:

The General Manager of Pharmacy Operations for our site ensures that the pharmacy provides optimal services; meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements; and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the organization. As a site leader is accountable for all aspects of the business and its operations. Is responsible for meeting and exceeding established volume, revenue, and profitability goals by continuously seeking ways to innovatively improve the operational efficiencies and effectiveness. Is responsible for delivering high level of stands for all areas of the business. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve operations including, but not limited to, cost reduction, productivity improvement, increased capacity, enhanced service and best practices workflows. Maintains high level of morale and an appropriate staffing level. This is an exempt position that reports to the Director of Operations.
